Doha, 15 October, 2014 QNB, “One of the World’s Strongest Banks”, has organized two blood donation drives with employees based in Doha in conjunction with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).

This important Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative was held at QNB’s Head Office and Al Mathaf buildings over a two-day period and involved employees from different departments.

This year’s campaign followed on from a similar successful exercise in 2013 and had a dual purpose of enhancing blood bank stocks at HMC and raising awareness of the importance of donating blood and the resulting health benefits to society.

QNB was very pleased to partner with Hamad Medical Corporation in this important health and wellbeing initiative.

Last year, hundreds of QNB employees took part in donating blood and the positive feedback received from all parties encouraged a repeat exercise this year. It is hoped that this will provide a platform for future initiatives with HMC.

QNB, the biggest bank in Qatar and a leading financial institution in the MENA Region, takes its “Good Corporate Citizen” responsibilities seriously and this is reflected in a comprehensive CSR programme of social, educational and welfare initiatives that support a diverse range of community groups across Qatar.
